Articulating magnetic phone holder mounts your device almost anywhere
Phone stands are sold in droves, but this one from hardware brand Orioner promises to be more useful than the rest thanks to a unique design.
The M-Grip attaches magnetically to your phone (using the MagSafe ring on iPhones or the included ring that you can stick to any other model) and provides several ways to stand up your device, beyond simply placing it on a table.
The big difference between the M-Grip and other mounts is that it has two large magnets. The first, of course, is for your phone. The other is in its bottom panel. Sticks to any metal surface, such as a post, railing, or refrigerator.

That can expand your options for how to position your phone to record vlogs or make it easier to follow DIY recipes and video tutorials around your home.
The M-Grip also sits on its base and holds your phone in portrait mode for video calls. Its tripod legs fold down to give the stand more stability when you lift the device or mount a heavier device like a tablet or game console.

There’s also a folding claw that can clip onto handles and shelves, giving you another way to use your phone hands-free. This could come in handy on long road trips and flights without personal in-flight entertainment screens – just clip the M-Grip onto the seat in front of you and you’ll have something to watch.
I like that the M-Grip includes a carabiner mechanism on the top, so you can attach it to luggage or a backpack strap and free up space in your pockets.

The M-Grip folds down to a compact size, measuring 24mm (0.9in) thick and weighing just under 4oz (113g). Its aluminum construction should withstand prolonged outdoor use, so it’s worth a look to add to your EDC loadout.
Orioner is crowdfunding the M-Grip on Kickstarter, where it is available for $39 (below the expected MSRP of $59). The brand says it’s also working on a magnetic ring light to go with it, and you can get both items for $59 (was $99).

All crowdfunding campaigns carry an element of risk, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you decide to back this campaign. For what it’s worth, Orioner has successfully launched and shipped several EDC products on Kickstarter and details the development of the M-Grip on its campaign page. I also had the opportunity to preview one of their EDC knives this year and found the build quality and finish impressive.
If all goes as planned, orders are scheduled to ship worldwide in January 2027 and shipping costs will be calculated once the campaign ends (approximately $8-$15 per unit, depending on your location).
