Once again, looking in the upper left corner was worth it. However, it was at the expense of a fairly easy-to-spot spangram; congratulations if you got a Spangram First today.
After watching PINPOINT and SMALLWORLD (did everyone have the Disney attraction’s theme tune running through their heads afterwards?) I became convinced that MINIATURE would be lurking somewhere on the board.
Instead, the remaining words were all scientific-leaning, and only the spelling of AMOEBA made me pause.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new word game, after Wordle and Connections. It is now a full member of the NYT Games group that has been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
