NYT Strands Today (Game #950): The Answers
The answers to today’s 950th Strands game are…
- NONSENSE
- TRASH
- hooey
- LIES
- NONSENSE
- SPANGRAM: AMAZING
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one, so I spent a few seconds searching for the “wrong” word before abandoning the search and searching for non-game words.
Along the way I came across BALDERDASH, which is a ridiculous word to begin with, but it focused me on words that meant something was a sham and not trustworthy.
After receiving GARBAGE, I was on a roll and finished without needing any clues; a shame, as there were an incredible amount of long non-game words lurking among the nonsense and the silly.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Thursday, October 8, game #949)
- FAME
- CELEBRITY
- REPUTATION
- ACCLAMATION
- RENOWN
- EMINENCE
- SPANGRAM: LUMINARY
