NYT Strands Today (Game #953): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 953 are…
- LANGUAGE
- JARGON
- VERNACULAR
- JARGON
- DIALECT
- SPANGRAM: TURN PHRASE
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Another easy game where I got the second Spangram (unfortunately there are no prizes or badges for that). Very annoying, although I appreciated how TURNOFPHRASE took a turn across the board.
I was hoping to find the word “slang” on the board, but I settled for the word “sling” which is not part of the game. Instead, we had many different ways that languages could be described.
Personally, I find DIALECT fascinating, especially how someone in the same country can order a cup of coffee in a hundred different ways depending on where they come from.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, October 11, game #952)
- PAGER
- FRIDGE
- INKWELL
- TYPEWRITER
- TELEGRAM
- SPANGRAM: OUTDATED
