Today’s topic was a mystery. “Practically Paleolithic”? What could that mean? A practical person who follows a paleo diet? A very well organized dinosaur? Or was it more of a lazy Bill and Ted-style slang that I’d overlooked?
It turned out to be old, tired, outdated stuff, something I only discovered after getting a hint of BYGONE after an exhausting search to make sense of it all.
From here I located the spangram THAT SELLS NEWS and began working on the board to find the other words.
By the way, I know it’s impossible to include apostrophes in word search games, but I hate seeing ESO without one.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new word game, after Wordle and Connections. It is now a full member of the NYT Games group that has been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
