The vinyl and cassette system also serves as a wall decoration in your home.
A lesser-known audio equipment brand from China is targeting design fans with a range of spectacular-looking products. It’s out the door with a complete system of analog music players that can sit on the wall and grab your attention every time you walk by.
The Trettitre retro surround sound system consists of a vinyl record player, a CD player, a cassette player and a wall shelf to mount them all. Whether you choose to use them all together on your wall or individually, each one has a distinctive design that shows analog media front and center.
All four products feature a minimalist, retro-futuristic aesthetic, with prominent physical controls, understated typography, and subtle metallic tones. They should blend into most rooms rather than look out of place, and their carefully detailed finishes make them worth a closer look. Since they can be mounted on the wall, they could be a great option for smaller spaces that don’t have many unused surfaces to place them on.
TRETTITRE: Retro in-wall ambient audio system
Each of the players is portable and operates wirelessly thanks to built-in batteries and Bluetooth connectivity. They can be charged via USB-C and support modern audio codecs (SBC, AptX, AptX HD and AptX Adaptive) to offer the possibility of playing great-sounding music even without cables. Of course, if you don’t care about them, you can connect each device to your speakers or headphones via a 3.5mm auxiliary output.
The vinyl player is the star of the show. The records push the limits of their narrow rectangular frame, giving it a unique appearance, especially when the vinyl is spinning. The panel below the controls is also an ambient light, so you have another visual treat to enjoy on your wall.

This turntable is designed to be simple, meaning no calibration is necessary to play 33 RPM or 45 RPM records. The self-balancing arm system automatically sets the correct amount of pressure on the discs, eliminating the need for manual adjustment. The Audio-Technica AT-3600LA phono cartridge should serve your precious collection well.
The player also features a silicone strap above the controls, so you can easily move it to another room. Its built-in battery promises up to six hours of playback or three hours of ambient lighting.
Just like the vinyl player, this CD and cassette player also allows you to watch media on the go.

The CD player has some interesting details, such as a magnetic cover and physical buttons with raised symbols around their circumference, so you can know what you’re pressing by touch.
I’m interested in the cassette player mainly to have the opportunity to press those oversized buttons that look like piano keys. Less young audio enthusiasts will appreciate it for its ability to play tapes like the old days, albeit with wireless connectivity.
The wall mount not only makes all three devices appear “connected,” but it also charges the vinyl player wirelessly. All in all, I think it looks like a perfect addition to any analog music lover’s personal space.

Trettitre concluded its crowdfunding campaign for this system on Kickstarter and has already shipped several units. Reviews from some early backers note that the build quality and sound exceeded their expectations; That’s good to know, considering these products seem to be designed with form over function.
You can still back the Kickstarter campaign through Late Pledges and receive your order: $399 (versus an expected MSRP of $899) will get you all three analog media players, as well as the wall-mounting rack.
All crowdfunding campaigns carry an element of risk, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you decide to back this campaign. For what it’s worth, Trettitre sells a range of speakers, headphones and audio accessories through its site, and has won design awards for them too.
If all goes as planned, orders are scheduled to ship worldwide in November.
