NYT Strands Today (Game #954): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #954 are…
- EMBARRASS
- SCARE
- CONFUSE
- DISGUST
- MORTIFY
- SPANGRAM: SHAMEFUL
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I classify this as tricky because despite getting by without hints, it still took me longer than usual to complete the board.
After receiving the spangram fairly quickly, I was sure I would roar across the board at high speed, laughing through memories of CRINGEWORTHY scenes from Something about Maria and Meet the parents.
Unfortunately, after receiving EMBARRASSMENT I had a hard time thinking of other synonyms for uncomfortable; I thought NONPLUS meant you were indifferent. Oh well, every day is a school day.
