Dell’s ‘Top Tech Event’ Features Price Cuts of Up to $500 on Our Favorite Laptops – Here Are 5 Picks Starting at Just $499
Dell’s official store is hosting a ‘Top Tech Event’ this week, which can only mean price cuts on the brand’s excellent line of Windows laptops. In fact, discounts of up to $500 are available right now if you’re in the market for a new machine.
I’ve been busy scanning the retail pages today and have seen five machines that I think are particularly good value for money. While there are many laptops for sale today, these are the ones I would personally buy with my own money.
First up is the Dell 15 laptop for $499 (was $699), an obvious choice if you need something just for the basics. The Core 3 chipset and 8GB of RAM will be good for browser-based tasks, and the 512GB SSD has a decent amount of space as well. While it’s not a world-beater by any means, I could see this being a great everyday option if you don’t want to spend too much.
For more serious workloads, I’d recommend this Dell 16 laptop for $949 (was $1,149). Not only does it feature 16GB of RAM, but you also get a powerful Ryzen 7 chipset, meaning it’s a very capable laptop. Personally, this is the one I would choose if I were buying a work laptop.
You can read more about these laptops and my other picks just below. Note that the Top Tech event runs until October 12, and you’ll also get double Dell’s rewards program as part of the sale.
