Save $350 on Dell’s touchscreen laptop for remote and hybrid workers

Dell makes some of our favorite laptops, and the company’s 15.6-inch touchscreen model offers a useful combination of performance, screen real estate, and connectivity.

For Black Friday, it’s on sale for $650 (was $1,000) at Best Buy. That’s a 35% savings on a laptop with a 2K resolution touchscreen and Core i7 processor. And we would definitely recommend it.

• Ideal for: Remote and hybrid workers who need a reliable Windows laptop for spreadsheets, video conferencing, browser-based applications, and daily office tasks.

• What we like: Dell’s range of business laptops have also proven reliable in our tests – for general work, they’re well specified. The highlight, however, is the raised hinge that tilts the keyboard slightly when opened. It’s a small design detail, but it could improve the writing. The expanded keyboard gives you more room to tap, and the separate numeric keypad will be useful for anyone who regularly enters figures into spreadsheets or accounting software.

Why we recommend it

There are a lot of things to like about this business-oriented laptop. Under the hood, the 10-core Intel Core i7-1355U processor offers enough performance for daily use. The processor can boost to 5 GHz when additional performance is needed. Dell’s ComfortView software helps reduce blue light emissions, which will make working long hours more comfortable.

Price context and historical value

The $350 reduction represents a whopping 35% discount and for $649.99, you get a touchscreen laptop running Windows, a capable processor, and a reasonable amount of memory and storage for everyday business use. This is the cheapest model we’ve seen on sale and, coming from Dell, it’s a great deal.
