NYT Strands Today (Game #956): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 956 are…
- LIGHTHOUSE
- LADDER
- DOME
- FLASHLIGHT
- GALLERY
- SPANGRAM: LIGHTHOUSE
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 track
The topic meant nothing to me (was it about maps or tides?) until I saw BEACON at my favorite starting point in the left corner and the light of inspiration hit me.
After getting the next most obvious LIGHTHOUSE feature of STAIRCASE (connected in a spiral format, no less), the game’s remaining four words proved harder to spot, so I took a hint and got the gift of DOME.
From here, I literally kicked myself when I saw LANTERN and limped over the line with the GALLERY and TOWER, now easily visible.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Wednesday, October 14, game #955)
- BEAUTY
- BEAST
- FROG
- PRINCESS
- TORTOISE
- HARE
- SPANGRAM: ONCE
