This might be the smallest mouse you can buy and it also works as a remote control

This isn’t the smallest mouse ever made (that honor, as far as I know, goes to this 3D-printed number from YouTuber juskim), but it’s arguably the smallest available to mainstream consumers. If you really want to travel light, it’s worth checking out.

Mivix’s oddly named TimeXplayer V2 appears to be about half the size of a regular mouse, but its flat design makes it much less bulky than conventional mice that are ergonomically designed to fill the palm of your hand when you grip them.

That means you’ll compromise on comfort with the V2, but it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle if you only use it sparingly for daily tasks while traveling.

The V2 weighs just 38g (1.34oz) and is just 13.5mm (half an inch) thick, meaning it will easily slip into your pocket or any gear bag without taking up too much space.

It still includes all the features you expect from a compact mouse and more. It has two buttons, another to adjust the sensitivity from 1000 to 4000 DPI, a clickable scroll wheel, and four configurable scroll speeds.

Like most modern mice, you can connect the V2 to desktop computers and mobile devices via a USB-C cable, an included 2.4GHz wireless dongle (which, surprisingly, fits inside the mouse), or Bluetooth (two devices).

What’s especially cool about this model is that it also works as a remote control for scrolling through TikTok on your phone or tablet. The compact form factor makes it perfect for when you just want to kick back and enjoy vertical videos with one hand; Simply place your mobile device on a stand and you’re done.

That said, the V2 is a useful addition to any digital nomad or remote worker’s setup, and it’s worth taking on vacation too.

Mivix is ​​crowdfunding the V2 on Kickstarter, where it’s available for just $49 (discounted from its expected MSRP of $85).

All crowdfunding campaigns carry an element of risk, so you’ll want to keep that in mind if you decide to back this campaign. This appears to be the brand’s first project on the platform. For what it’s worth, Mivix has so far raised over $10,000 from over 170 backers for this one, and has footage of the mouse in action (which you can see above). He also details the development and testing of V2 on his campaign page.

If all goes as planned, orders are scheduled to ship worldwide in November and shipping costs will be calculated once the campaign ends.
